So it's been a while since I last joined Julia's fab blog hop. If you haven't seen it its a great place to check out what other crafters have on their desks and what projects they are working on.
I have been away from WOYWW and craft for the last month or so as life has been pretty stressful but I am hoping that things are on the up now :)
Anyway here is a sneeky peek of what's on my desk. As you can see I have been multi tasking working on both Mothers Day cards and Easter Cards. I have been working on the floor again and as you can see I managed to spread mess everywhere. In the top picture you can see my alphabet stamps which I love to use to make my own handmade sentiments. In the second photo is a tin which I have full of die cut shapes and pre stamped images which I like to have out when making cards as I can then pick whichever shapes and stamps best fit the card I am making. In the third picture there is my tray filed with inks acrylic blocks and some clear stamps.
I have decided to have a massive sort out and organize of all my craft stuff this weekend so hopefully next weeks WOYWW will be a much tidier affair.
(check out the posts below for better pics of the cards I have been making)
Why do you work on the floor? I have such a bad back that I can 't imagine this being comfortable for me. Do yo use a little lap table?
ReplyDeleteLots going on in your busy, fun creative space. Good luck with your massive sort out over the weekend, it is something I keep putting off for another time!!

ReplyDeletesounds to me like you will very busy , sorting and creating!I think working on the floor looks like fun and you have lotsof goodies tochoose from!
ReplyDeleteI could not work on the floor either. I spent some time down there this morning sorting out books to get rid of, and positively crawled downstairs afterwards. These days, I am more interested in training the dog to pick up all the things I drop (he thinks it is a wonderful game). Thanks for your visit and encouraging remarks. xx Maggie #8
ReplyDeletePS did you know you have the Word Verification turned on? if you are not sure how to get rid of it, do please ask. It is so difficult to read and get right.
I would never get up off the floor if i had to work down there. Your card looks great and glad that you are back! Happy WOYWW! dani33

Working on the floor certainly gives you lots of space. I've got a few alphabet stamps like yours, what a great idea to use for sentiments on cards. I bet you have to be very accurate in placing them all in line though! Thanks for sharing you WOWW x
ReplyDeleteOMG, if I worked on the floor I'd be down there for a good long time! I hope the stresses stay away and you're able to enjoy crafting.
ReplyDeleteThe cards look great! Yep, I'd say you're back in the saddle!!!
Thanks for the visit earlier today!
Hugs,
Kay
You have so many things to play with. Most of my stuff ends up on the floor but the tiles are a bit cold and covered in paint to work down there. Like the alphabet stamps, would make life a lot easier for me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

I wish I could work on the floor - my knees and back just won't take it any more and I work better crafty/painty stuff if I stand. Looks like you've got a very creative mess goin' on there - looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a bit of crafting to de-stress, and then if you want company, the lounge floor is certainly the best place. Although you must be very much younger than me...i cant sit or kneel on the floor without fidgeting any more, then my knee or hand would be in the ink pad and it would all be drama! Like th eidea of the tin with pre cut shapes and things, makes sense!
ReplyDeleteLove your storage tins idea, and what better way of relaxing after a busy day than to do a bit of carpet crafting, wonderful idea! You need time away from the busy-ness of the day! Does the soul good and refreshes the brain for sure! Have a good week!

ReplyDeleteI used to craft on the floor so much but age and my knees don't allow it now! Thanks for the snop,
JoZarty

ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the card that comes from the little chickie you are working on!
